Lakewood Ranch: Dynasty Dance Clubs (formerly Beyond Dancing)
7313 International Place, Sarasota
Located just minutes off the highway, Dynasty Dance Clubs conveniently serves families in Sarasota and East Bradenton. There is a small play room that the kids can enjoy while waiting for class to begin.
Specializing in Ballroom, Latin, and Nightclub dancing, Dynasty offers children's, competitive, and dance fitness classes. However, our favorite is their Dynasty Stars program, which teaches dance to students of all ages who have special needs. From age 3 to adults, students with Down syndrome, epilepsy, and autism experience the joy of dancing and showcase their skills in performances around town.
West Bradenton: Bostock's Martial Arts, Fitness, & Circus Arts
7300 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton
Bostock's has been a highly-rated fixture in Bradenton for more than two decades. Located off of Manatee Ave and Village Green Parkway in the Staples shopping center, it is a short drive for families in West Bradenton and the Islands.
Grand Master Jack Bostock, Sr., has taught Tae Kwon Do to Tanya's nieces and nephews (now in high school and college), and her son. He is an 8th-generation circus performer, and has performed with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and other circuses as a high wire walker and a horseback trick rider. He is a 7th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, among other achievements, and was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2007. Darlene Williams Bostock was also raised in the circus. As a 5th generation performer, she has performed aerial acts all over the world and has an amazing list of movie and TV stunt-double work under her belt. She teaches yoga and circus arts at the school. Bostock's offers summer camp and after-school pickup programs for kids, Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga Self Defense, Circus Aerial Arts, Yoga, and more.
